In the iF Final Jury, 75 international independent design experts have decided to honor agney* design achievements with iF DESIGN AWARD 2022.
The Right(Left)-Handed Bamboo Toddler Spoon is a beginner utensil for children who have just finished baby food. A difficulty for young children using a regular spoon is that they have yet to develop the coordinated wrist movements required to use them. To address this, our spoon makes use of the lever principle, making it simple for children to scoop food using their more coordinated elbow and shoulder movements and to carry it smoothly to their mouth. Being able to eat independently gives young children a sense of accomplishment and the lower-stress activity of eating will encourage their interests in food to expand.
The iF DESIGN AWARD is presented annually by the world’s oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover.

受賞製品 – はじめのスプーン –
世界で最も重要なデザインコンペティションのひとつであるiFデザインアワード2022にて、世界から参加している75人のデザイン専門家が審査を行った結果、agney*の「はじめのスプーン」がiFデザインアワード2022を受賞しました。
「はじめのスプーン」は、離乳食を終えたばかりのお子様のためのビギナー用スプーンです。幼児にとって普通のスプーンを使う難しさは、スプーンを使うために必要な手首の協調運動がまだ身についていないことです。そこで、テコの原理を応用し、より協調性の高い肘や肩の動きで食べ物をすくい、スムーズに口元まで運ぶことができるスプーンを開発しました。自分で食べることができるようになると、達成感を味わうことができますし、食べるというストレスの少ない行為によって、食に対する興味も広がっていきます。
iFデザインアワードは世界で最も古いデザイン団体であるiFインターナショナル・フォーラム・デザイン (独ハノーバー市) が毎年主催しています。
